Türkiye's coastline ranges from fine-sand Aegean coves to pebbled Mediterranean beaches, wide Black Sea shores and city beaches on the Marmara. This poll brings together beaches from different coasts rather than a single stretch.

What to consider

Sand or pebble texture, water clarity, surrounding scenery and ease of access are useful measures. A beach like Kaputaş sits in a narrow canyon with limited capacity, while Konyaaltı stretches for kilometers and draws large crowds. A Blue Flag award can also signal water quality and infrastructure.

How the list was built

This poll includes beaches and beach towns whose location was verified through Wikipedia; coves frequently mentioned online but not confirmed by an independent source were excluded. Blue Flag status is noted only where a source explicitly confirms it.

About the options

Ölüdeniz and Patara are among the best-known long beaches on the Lycian coast, while Kaputaş offers a different, narrow-canyon setting. Kleopatra Beach and Turunç carry Blue Flag status. Konyaaltı and Lara are Antalya's two major shores, while Gümbet, Bitez, Akyarlar and Ortakent Yahşi on the Bodrum peninsula draw visitors to their own coves.
